C.J. Box was recently asked by the UK Guardian newspaper to contribute a piece on US crime novelists who "own" the locations they write about. It's attracted a good deal of attention and discussion.
Corvus will publish THREE WEEKS TO SAY GOODBYE in the UK December 1, and has done an all-out promotional campaign that is attracting a good deal of attention... and good reviews.
So far:
Rather surprisingly, C.J. Box's 2008 novel BLOOD TRAIL has been nominated for the International IMPAC Dublin (Ireland) Literary Award.
I'll be on two panels at the 2009 Bouchercon in Indianapolis.

CHANGING GEARS
How writers transition between subgenres or from the series mystery to the stand-alone.
An old friend of mine and fellow author Russell Rowland is editing a cool anthology exploring the changing identity of the West.
C.J. Box contributed a short story called "Perfectly Grimm" for an anthology honoring the great Minneapolis book store Once Upon A Crime. The debut of the collection will be this week.
