Wyoming author C.J. Box packs Casper room for latest Joe Pickett series signing

CASPER, Wyo. — One of the remaining auditoriums at the former Fox Theater was filled with fans on Wednesday evening. The lucky ones got comfy seats, while the rest lined up along the walls.
It’s not unusual for Wyoming author C.J. Box to attract a full house during his book tours, particularly for installments of the ever-popular “Joe Pickett” series.
“There’s nothing better than a book signing that has beer involved,” Box quipped after taking the podium. Frontier Brewing Company now resides in the former theater, and a complimentary pint of brew was given to everyone who wanted one. Box said he was confused about the start time and arrived an hour earlier than necessary, admitting he was at least a couple of beers into the night already by signing time.
